      1. Continue calling your Senator to demand a town hall 2. Make an office visit and deliver our mind-blowing chart

    Dear NumbersUSA Activists,

We asked you to call your Senators last week and demand town halls. Four Senators- including one Gang of 8 member and 3 potential swing votes- have scheduled town halls since we started calling.

Senators who have announced or held town halls since last Wednesday include:

      • Sen. John McCain of Arizona

      • Sen. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire

      • Sen. Mark Begich of Alaska

      • Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia

In Arizona, NumbersUSA activists brought the heat to Senator McCain and were surprised by a guest visit from Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina. Thank you, Arizona!!

The other town halls are happening this week. If you are interested in attending town halls, subscribe to our Local Meeting Alerts by clicking here.

Most of the American people – including many lawmakers – have not read S 744, the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act. NOW is the time for public discussions on what is really in the bill: broken promises, amnesty, and 33 million new immigrants allowed to live and work in the US after just 10 years.

CALL YOUR SENATOR TODAY, TOMORROW, AND THURSDAY: (202) 224-3121

    Tell your Senator:

“I demand you hold a town hall to discuss the biggest immigration overhaul in nearly three decades years. We deserve to speak with our Senator and get answers on such a complex bill that will impact almost every aspect of American life. I will continue to call back everyday until a public and open discussion on S 744 is scheduled.”

WANT TO SEND A STRONGER MESSAGE? VISIT YOUR SENATORS’ LOCAL OFFICE AND DELIVER OUR MIND-BLOWING CHART.

The chart shows how 33 million new immigrants would benefit from the bill in just the next 10 years. This massive amount of people would be allowed to live here and compete with 20 million Americans who want a full time job but cannot find one.

NumbersUSA is the only group that has come out with a number. Pro-amnesty groups are reluctant to release their estimates because they know the American people would not sign on to such a irresponsible policy. Read Roy’s blog about the numbers here.

CALL (202) 224-3121 TO FIND THE CLOSEST SENATE OFFICE NEAR YOU.

***Appearing in-person at a Senate office makes 10 times more of an impact than calling.***

If you have a town hall meeting to report or want to schedule a personal meeting with a Senate staffer and need assistance, please email me here.

Thank you for your time and keep up the great work!

Action Alert Oregonians! NO Drivers Licenses for Illegal aliens on Senate bill 833.

Americans from outside the state can call. They want to give drivers licenses to illegal aliens after the voters said no four years ago

Your calls urgently needed

Alert date:
Saturday, April 20, 2013
Alert body:

If you have been wondering if there is anything you can do to help this sinking ship, which is called Oregon, I URGE you to call as many Legislators as you possibly can and ask them to please vote NO on Senate bill 833.

This bill is very thinly veiled with unsubstantiated proclamations of public safety all while ignoring the simple fact that illegal aliens aren’t supposed to be in our country at all…let alone driving back and forth to their jobs!

Call Committee members today and tell them you are very disappointed they have voted to advance this bill:

Sen. Lee Beyer (503) 986-1706 sen.leebeyer@state.or.us

Sen Bruce Starr (503) 986-1715 sen.brucestarr@state.or.us (thank him for voting NO)

Sen. Chris Edwards (503) 986-1707 sen.chrisedwards@state.or.us

Sen. Fred Girod (503) 986-1709 sen.fredgirod@state.or.us (thank him for voting NO)

Se. Rod Monroe (503) 986-1724 sen.rodmonroe@state.or.us

Sen. Chuck Thomsen (503) 986-1726 sen.chuckthomsen@state.or.us

Then, call your own Legislator:  http://www.leg.state.or.us/findlegsltr/home.htm and tell them you are a constituent and you do not want this bill to pass.  It’s bad for Oregon.

ICE AGENTS FILE SUIT AGAINST Obama’s JANET NAPOLITANO & Director Morton

  • ICE AGENTS FILE SUIT AGAINST JANET NAPOLITANO

Agents Reject Order to Violate the Law and Their Oath to Defend the Constitution

WASHINGTON, D.C., August 23, 2012 – Ten officers and agents for United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) including ICE Agents Union President Chris Crane, today filed a lawsuit against Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano and Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director John Morton challenging the Obama Administration’s deferred action Directive and associated Prosecutorial Discretion Memorandum that prevent ICE officers, employees, and agents from fulfilling their sworn oath to uphold the law and defend the US Constitution.

The Directive and the earlier memorandum instruct ICE officers to refrain from placing certain aliens who are unlawfully present in the United States into removal proceedings. The Directive further instructs officers to take actions to facilitate the granting of deferred action to aliens who are unlawfully present in the United States.  The Directive, entitled “Exercising Prosecutorial Discretion with Respect to Individuals Who Came to the United States as Children,” also directs DHS personnel to grant employment authorization to certain beneficiaries of the Directive.

“Both the Directive and memorandum command our agents to violate federal law and our oaths to uphold federal law.  We are federal law enforcement officers who are being ordered to break the law.  This directive puts ICE agents and officers in a horrible position,” said Chris Crane, veteran ICE agent and President of the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council.

“The Directive is an extension of the DREAM Act, which was rejected by Congress, and aims to grant an amnesty to 1.7 million illegal aliens.  It violates federal immigration laws that require certain aliens to be placed in removal proceedings, it violates the Administrative Procedure Act, and it encroaches upon the legislative powers of Congress as defined in Article I of the United States Constitution,” said Kris Kobach, the attorney representing the plaintiffs.

“Any threat of harm to our nation’s immigration officers for enforcing the law is a threat against the livelihoods of average American workers,” said Roy Beck of NumbersUSA, the organization that is underwriting the suit.  “Congress passes laws to determine how many and which citizens of other countries are allowed to enter U.S. job markets to compete with American workers.  Fortunately during this long period of high unemployment, Congress has refused to add further competition through amnesties that would give millions of illegal aliens access to the legal U.S. job market.  The Napolitano amnesty directive does the opposite.  If immigration agents are not allowed to enforce the laws as decided by Congress, the wages and jobs of American workers are at risk,” said Beck.

“This Directive not only circumvents Congress, it also infringes on the plaintiffs’ ability to fulfill the oath they made to uphold the laws of this country.  The plaintiffs seek to prevent law enforcement officers from being forced to either violate federal law if they comply with the Directive or risk adverse employment action if they disobey the unlawful orders of the DHS Secretary,” said Kobach.

SIgn ICE Agent Petition to Stop Obama’s Shutting down Of ICE Immigration and enforcement of our Borders

2-year executive amnesty begins, immigration agents step up opposition to being barred from enforcing the law — WE HAVE TO HELP THEM

This Issue: As 2-year executive amnesty begins, immigration agents step up opposition to being barred from enforcing the law — WE HAVE TO HELP THEM

I sent out a late Wednesday night alert abou

PUNISHING ICE AGENTS FOR ENFORCING IMMIGRATION LAWS

t the ICE agents’ union asking the public to sign its protest petition. (Most of you haven’t signed it yet. Please go there now at http://petitions.iceunion.org/petitions.)

The petition against the Administration’s nullification of immigration laws (that includes the mass 2-year amnesties that began being handed out Wednesday) is toughly worded. But ICE union officials have now come out with even stronger words against their federal bosses who won’t allow them to do their job of enforcing laws that Congress passes.

“ICE agents are now under orders to ignore the law as well as threats to public safety and fraud,” the union leaders say in a new press release about their members who work for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) section of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

“Those officers who refuse to follow the Administration’s unlawful orders by making arrests will be disciplined and lose their jobs, as well as the ability to support their families,” the union statement says.. “The National ICE Council representing approximately 7,200 ICE Agents, Officers and employees were the first to sign the petition on behalf of those that they represent in hopes that through public support ICE, DHS and the Administration can be convinced to take a more responsible approach to law enforcement and cease their collective efforts to devastate and demoralize federal law enforcement officers and their families.”

While ICE agents have been ordered to stand aside, we have witnessed this week a steady stream of images of tens of thousands of illegal aliens lined up in public to sign up for work permits to compete in the legal job market against the millions of unemployed young Americans. Estimates are that 1.7 million illegal aliens could get the reward of these work permits even though Congress has three times voted down bills to give out these work permits.

“Morale is in the toilet right now,” according to Chris Crane, president of the National ICE Council. “Most of the guys out in the field are just in an uproar.”

The ICE agents feel the only way they may be able to survive as a legitimate enforcement entity to protect all of us from another mass wave of illegal immigration is to show the Administration that the public stands with the agents — and against the anti-security policies of the Department of Homeland Security. That’s why it is so urgent that you sign the petition now and circulate it far and wide. The agents are extremely pleased to have the 30,000 signatures since Wednesday, but they need hundreds of thousands of signatures (at least) if they are going to have any real protection in their challenge against the Administration.

The union officers say ICE Agents and Officers nationwide “are now under threat of disciplinary action, up to and including the loss of their jobs and retirements, simply for attempting to enforce federal laws.”

Let’s do all we can to help our nation’s immigration enforcement officers.

Roy Beck

Traitor Obama’s & Oregonian’s Executive Amnesty In Oregon for Illegal Criminal Immigrants

Judicial Watch Files Lawsuit Against DHS to Release Documents Pertaining to Executive Amnesty

Thursday, August 16, 2012, 1:03 PM EDT – posted on NumbersUSAOne of the myths is that They are “immigrants without documentation. This is not true. They have plenty of documents from their own country, they also have fake IDs, and matricula cards from the Mexican embassy.

I won’t even link to the Oregonian sell-out on their front page , showing happy illegals getting there amnesty. Gag me. Here are the typical Illegals in Oregon:

Where is Obama’s  Amnesty for Legal Americans, who, after  paying  taxes and following  the rules; yet now have to pay for the  medical, welfare, schooling, and jail time for all the thousands of illegal aliens in Oregon?

Where can we ask for compensation for job loss, due discrimination in the job market? Spanish speakers, aka mexicans are preferred over English only Americans, just for a starter. ICE quit deporting illegals here in Oregon years ago. It is so corrupt and so pro- illegal in Oregon, that it is pointless even to point out the invasion.

The organization “ICE” is an oxymoron. They should be called the “Immigration and Customs Enablers.”

Seriously, are we in the ****ing ‘Twilight Zone’ here? Illegals – thousands, millions of illegals – openly defy each and every last white American today and no one sounds a peep. Where are our “leaders”?

This seriously looks like the “final solution” of white America, and I feel like I am the only one seriously pissed as shi- about this.

These brown cockroaches are doing nothing but laughing at us; they are doing nothing but thumbing their noses and smiling at the same time. When they have their own t-shirts, it’s open war:

Judicial Watch has filed a lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security requesting documents, under the Freedom of Information Act, regarding the Executive Amnesty that went into effect on August 15. The policy, announced in June, allows illegal aliens who came to the United States before the age of 16, have maintained continuous residence, are 30 years of age or younger, and attend school or hold a high school diploma to receive deferred action and a work permit. An estimated 1.8 million illegal aliens are likely to qualify.

The suspect was also struck by gunfire. He was flown via air ambulance to a Willamette Valley hospital. His status is not known.

So how many Americans have to die before we start enforcing immigration Laws and deporting illegals? This Mexican Male for California may very well be illegal or an anchor baby involved in the Criminal Underclass anchor babies join with such enthusiasm.  Why couldn’t they have just put a bullet through his head, now he running up a tab on the taxpayers money. Illegal mexicans get busted all the time in Oregon, they are released on bail and either re-arrested for another crime or they skip the state, or they get new fake ID yet  it is racist to enforce Immigration laws.

A Benton County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) sergeant and Salem Police Department (SPD) corporal were shot and injured Saturday night in an incident involving police and an adult male following an attempt to elude law enforcement about 2 miles north of Adair Park just south of the Benton/Polk County line. The suspect also received gunshot wound injuries. Oregon State Police Criminal Investigation Division detectives are leading the investigation with the assistance of Benton County Major Crime Team, Keizer Police Department, Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Salem Police Department, and Benton County District Attorney’s Office.

Information authorized for release indicates on August 11, 2012 at approximately 10:25 p.m. an Albany-area woman called 911 to report a man armed with a gun was in her backyard. The man, who the caller said she knew, reportedly left in a possible stolen green 1994 Acura Integra two-door displaying Oregon license plates. Law enforcement agencies in the area were notified to be on the lookout for the vehicle that was subsequently confirmed stolen out of Salem. BCSO spotted the vehicle about eight minutes later and it attempted to elude deputies along Highway 20 into rural Benton County.

At approximately 10:37 p.m., the driver lost control of the vehicle at the intersection of Independence Highway and NW Springhill Drive where he abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot into heavy brush north of the intersection. Officers responded to the area to assist BCSO and established a perimeter to try and contain the suspect driver. A Salem police canine unit came to the scene to assist in finding the suspect.

As the search team with the canine started searching the area before midnight, the suspect emerged from the brush and was encountered by law enforcement officers. During the encounter, shots were reportedly exchanged between the suspect and law enforcement. During the exchange of gunfire, BCSO Sergeant David Peterson and SPD Corporal Andrew Connolly were shot. The suspect was also shot multiple times. A SPD patrol vehicle was also hit by several rounds.

Law enforcement officers from BCSO, Albany Police Department, Corvallis Police Department, Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Linn County Sheriff’s Office, and Salem Police Department were at the scene. Adair Fire Department personnel were also in the area.

The male suspect was seriously injured and transported by air ambulance to Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland for treatment. He is expected to survive. He has been tentatively identified as a 32-year old Hispanic male from California. His name is withheld while investigators positively identify him and make an attempt to notify next of kin.

BCSO Sergeant Peterson, age 29, was seriously injured and transported by ground ambulance to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. He is listed in serious condition. Peterson has been employed with Benton County Sheriff’s Office for 6 years and was promoted to Sergeant nine months ago. He previously worked as a Reserve Deputy and Marine Deputy.

Salem Police Corporal Connolly, age 46, was transported by ground ambulance to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released for a single gunshot wound. Connolly has worked for Salem Police Department for 13 years.

“Law enforcement officers are put in harms way every day, and when members of our law enforcement family are injured in the line of duty it affects our entire community. Our thoughts and prayers are with Corporal Connolly and Sergeant Peterson for a complete and speedy recovery from their injuries,” said Salem Police Chief Jerry Moore.

“We consider ourselves very fortunate that both Sergeant Peterson and Corporal Connolly survived this incident and we look forward to recovery and return to their careers. We are privileged to have outstanding collaboration with all of our law enforcement partners during this incident, and we know that without them this could have had a more deadly ending,” said Benton County Sheriff Diana Simpson.

Photographs of the officers are not for release at this time. Questions about involved officers should be directed to their respective agency.

Huge Mexican Drug Cartel Bust in Vancouver Wa:Largest methamphetamine seizure in Clark County history

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Largest methamphetamine seizure in Clark County history
Clark Co. Sheriff’s Office– 08/08/12

http://alangelo.com/

A mega interstate management company are the ones that rented to the Illegal mexican drug traffickers busted this week. They have a very bad reputation as landlords.  If they had used  everify and actually watched the properties , this wouldn’t have happened.

Obama’s “Back Door Open Borders Amnesty” is Working! Who would have thunk  Obama could do such a good job of destroying the US , with a lot of help from Congress and Local Government. Also thanks to all the landlords in Oregon, who  ” wink wink” rent to illegal aliens and gangsters because they don’t give a damn about anything.

*Note to media representatives: An opportunity to view and photograph the methamphetamine will take place at the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, 707 W. 13th St., Vancouver, at 11:30 AM today, August 8th. A representative from the drug task force will be available for comments as well. This viewing will end at noon.

On August 6, 2012, the Clark-Vancouver Regional Drug Task Force concluded a long-term investigation into aMexican drug trafficking organization operating in Clark County,Washington. This drug trafficking organization was responsible for transporting large amounts of methamphetamine from California and distributing it throughout Vancouver and Portland.

Starting in the late afternoon on Monday, August 6th, and ending the morning of Tuesday, August 7th, the drug task force executed a series of six search warrants in Clark County resulting in the largest single methamphetamine seizure in Clark County history. Seventy four (74) pounds of methamphetamine was seized from an apartment in the Cascade Park area of Vancouver. This apartment, located at 11304 SE 10th St, Vancouver, was identified early in the investigation as a safe house for the drug traffickers. In addition to the 74 pounds of methamphetamine, the drug task force also seized $45,500 in cash from the locations searched.

The street value of the seized methamphetamine is estimated to be approximately $932,400 based on a street price of $12,600 per pound.

Another significant event took place earlier in the investigation when approximately $120,000 in cash was seized from two suspects. In May 2012, two suspects travelled from California to Clark County for the sole purpose of collecting cash proceeds from methamphetamine sales and moving it back to California. The two suspects, who had been under surveillance while in Clark County, were detained when they started to move the money southbound on I-5 from the Hazel Dell area.

“This was a significant drug trafficking operation based in Clark County,” said task force commander Mike Cooke. “This case is a great example of how a local drug task force can work a large case from beginning to end and make a significant impact on the local drug supply.”

Several law enforcement agencies provided assistance with the execution of the search warrants including the DEA, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Portland Police HIT team

The following is a summary of locations searched, seizures, and arrests.

Search warrants served on August 6, 2012:

* 4318 NE 55TH Place, Vancouver, WA
* 11304 SE 10th Street, Vancouver, WA (Santos Camacho-Cardenas arrested at this location/methamphetamine seized here)

* 16506 NE 99th Street, Vancouver, WA
* 2326 Neals Lane, Vancouver, WA
* 7416 NE Hazel Dell Ave #48, Vancouver, WA (Hever Zavala-Leon arrested at this address)

Seizures:

* $165,500.00 in cash ($45,500 in cash from August 6, 2012 and $120,000 in cash from May 12, 2012).

$20,000 Cash for Illegal Mexican Nationals! ALFREDO De JESUS ASCENCIO Illegal Mexican Murderer of Marion County Deputy Kelly Fredinburg

$20,000 Reward Announced in Search for Suspect Sought in June 2007 Traffic Death of Marion Co. Deputy and Second Person

It is absolutely tragic that Officer Kelly was killed by a “driving while Mexican Illegal alien” Yet,it is awful that Mexicans will profit from turning him in, and that every day mexicans are driving drunk in Oregon and there is no immigration enforcement by ICE the police, or any other branch of Oregon government. How about mass deportations in Oregon for illegal aliens? How about Cops ,employers and landlords having to check for immigration status and being required to report illegals for Deportation. how about if ICE actually deports them and the Border Patrol shoots the ones that try to re-enter?

Oregon State Police– 08/06/12

(NOTE: Link to Spanish version of this news release provided)

Salem, OR – Marion County District Attorney’s Office provided an update Monday, August 6, 2012, at a news conference in Keizer, Oregon about the ongoing investigation and international search for information to help lead to the arrest of ALFREDO De JESUS ASCENCIO, a fugitive wanted in connection with a fatal traffic crash five years ago that killed Marion County Deputy Kelly Fredinburg and Oscar Ascencio-Amaya. Representatives from Oregon State Police and Marion County Sheriff’s Office joined the Marion District Attorney’s Office in sharing some information about the behind-the-scenes work done to date to try and find De JESUS ASCENCIO.

Additionally, Deputy Fredinburg’s family announced the establishment of the “Oregon Officer Reward Fund” that will be used in this and future cases to help find suspects wanted in connection with line of duty police officer injury or death criminal investigations in Oregon. This is the first case to be supported by the “Oregon Officer Reward Fund” to help investigators find the fugitive responsible for the death of Deputy Fredinburg. A reward of up to $20,000 is offered in this investigation for information that leads to the arrest of De JESUS ASCENCIO. This reward is in addition to $1,000 offered by Crime Stoppers (#07-28) for information that leads to an arrest in the case.

ALFREDO De JESUS ASCENCIO, who turned 25 years of age in January 2012, has been sought by the Marion County District Attorney’s Office, Oregon State Police (OSP) and Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) since he was indicted August 3, 2007 by a Marion County Grand Jury on two counts of Criminally Negligent Homicide.

On June 16, 2007 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Deputy Fredinburg was enroute to an emergency call southbound on Highway 99E north of Gervais when his patrol car was struck head-on by a northbound vehicle driven by De JESUS ASCENCIO. Deputy Fredinburg’s patrol car caught fire and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. Fredinburg joined MCSO in August 2006 after working the previous six years for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. He was 33 years old when he died.

Nineteen-year old passenger, Oscar Ascencio-Amaya, died from his injuries the following day at a Portland-area hospital. A second passenger received minor injuries.

De JESUS ASCENCIO, who was 20 years of age at the time of the crash, was treated for critical injuries at a Portland-area hospital. Investigators learned later that he fled the U.S. to Mexico around the time he was indicted August 3, 2007 and an arrest warrant was signed by a judge.

The Fredinburg family worked closely with law enforcement officials to establish the reward fund available to help law enforcement arrest persons wanted in connection with line-of-duty police injury and death criminal investigations. Over $25,000 has been raised to date for the “Oregon Officer Reward Fund” (OORF).

Contributions to the reward fund for use in future cases can be made by:

* Go to any US Bank branch to make a donation to “Oregon Officer Reward Fund”
* Via PayPal on the OORF website http://www.oorf.info
* Send a check made out to “Oregon Officer Reward Fund” and mail to”
OORF c/o – Oregon State Sheriff’s Association
PO Box 7468
Salem, OR 97303

“It’s been over 5 years since the suspect fled to avoid responsibility for Kelly’s death. Whether in the United States, Mexico or another country, we hope this reward will boost the investigative efforts that ultimately lead to an arrest,” said Gary Fredinburg.

Anyone with information related to this investigation to help locate De JESUS ASCENCIO can report tips by phone at:

* In Oregon, call 800-452-7888
* From anywhere in the United States for English and Spanish speakers to the Crime Stoppers Tip Line, refer to case #07-28, (bilingual call takers), call 1-503-823-4357

Email tips can be sent to crimetips2OSP@state.or.us.

Information should have as much detail as possible and contact information. Tips should include specific details including the type of case and information related to the criminal investigation. Even though tips may be received anonymously, those providing tips are encouraged to give contact information for follow-up by the investigator(s), if needed.

District Attorney Walt Beglau thanked Senator Ron Wyden, the U.S. Department of Justice, the Office of the Attorney General of Mexico, California Department of Justice Foreign Prosecution Unit, and local investigators for their help as part of the extensive international cooperation between U.S. and Mexican authorities in the search for De JESUS ASCENCIO.

Investigators believe De JESUS ASCENCIO is currently at an unknown location in Mexico. Pursuant to a treaty between the United States and Mexico, the crimes for which he was indicted in Oregon are not eligible for extradition from Mexico. Following an inquiry by the U.S. Attorney’s Office and Senator Wyden it was decided that the Marion County District Attorney’s Office would pursue the Mexican Federal Penal Code – “Article 4 prosecution” – that allows for Mexican citizens who commit crimes in foreign territories to be prosecuted in Mexico. In this case, if he remains in Mexico all further prosecution and sentencing, if convicted, rests fully in the hands of Mexican courts. This decision was come to in 2009 after it became apparent the only way prosecution would occur in Oregon is if the defendant voluntarily came back into the United States.

In January 2010, representatives from OSP and Marion County District Attorney’s Office traveled to San Diego, California. They met with California Department of Justice’s Foreign Prosecution Unit and a representative from Mexico’s Office of Attorney General to enlist their assistance.

In September 2010, investigators from OSP Criminal Investigation Division traveled to Mexico City to present the Article 4 case to Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office and enlist their help in prosecuting De JESUS ASCENCIO in Mexico. About one year later, the District Attorney’s office was informed the case was accepted and a warrant was issued in Mexico for the suspect’s arrest.

One year later, Mexican authorities contacted investigators when they believed the fugitive was located, but positive identification efforts confirmed it was not De JESUS ASCENCIO.

The Mexican Federal Penal Code, under Article 4, allows for the domestic prosecution of Mexican nationals who commit crimes in a foreign country and then flee back to Mexico in search of a safe haven from prosecution. Article 4 of the Mexican Federal Penal Code permits a state or federal agency to request of the Mexican authorities that a suspected criminal be arrested and prosecuted in Mexico.

The treaty between the United States and Mexico does not obligate either party to extradite its own nationals. However, Mexican officials are willing to discuss fugitive cases with their American counterparts, and to conduct Article 4 prosecutions when appropriate.

Crimes committed in a foreign country by a Mexican citizen against a foreign citizen, or by a foreign citizen against a Mexican citizen will be punished in Mexico, in accordance with federal law, if the following requirements are met:

* That the defendant be in the Republic of Mexico;
* That the defendant has not been definitively tried in the country where the crime was committed; and
* That the crime with which the defendant is charged be a crime in both the country where it was committed and the Republic of Mexico.

According to a booklet prepared by the Attorney General of Texas titled “Criminal Prosecutions Under Article 4 of the Mexican Federal Penal Code”, Chapter IV highlights major phases during an Article 4 prosecution case:

* When the Mexican Public Ministry receives a written notice requesting an Article 4 prosecution, it directs federal police to undertake an investigation which is primarily a review of the evidence in the case file.
* If the case is considered to have merit and all necessary documentation has been gathered, it is then forwarded to a judge who issues an arrest warrant. Once apprehended, the suspect is detained 72 hours while the judge reviews the evidence contained in the case file. If evidence is deemed sufficient, the judge issues a detention order.
* The first phase prior to the Mexican trial is the “period of instruction”. The prosecutor may present additional evidence and the defense is allowed to present its case. This is handled completely by way of written documents.
* There are no jury trials in Mexico criminal prosecutions. Trials occur behind closed doors, and evidence contained in the Article 4 case file is the major determinant in the trial’s outcome.
* After evidence has been submitted and taken into account by the judge, the defending and prosecuting attorneys formally appear before the judge and present their final arguments. At the close of final arguments, the judge weighs all of the evidence presented and determines guilt or innocence. If found guilty, the judge imposes the sentence.

MCSO Sheriff Jason Myers expressed his appreciation for the work by investigators and the international cooperation.

“Kelly’s death was felt by the community he served and every member of the Polk and Marion County Sheriff’s Office. We are very thankful for the work by the Oregon State Police and District Attorneys’ Office, the international collaborative effort, and the Fredinburg family’s support. Hopefully the victims’ families will find some peace knowing we haven’t given up and that someone will soon come forward with information needed to find and arrest the fugitive,” said Myers.

Beaverton Police Racially Profile Whites Drug Bust for Rave Concert at Horning’s Hideout area.

Beaverton Police Conduct Criminal Interdiction on Hwy 26 Personally I have nothing against Busting a bunch of hipster open  borders liberals with drugs from Portland and Eugene. What I do object to is the intentional Racial profiling against the White Hipsters with Crappy Cars.  In the meantime , Beaverton and washington county is packed with illegal aliens from Mexico, China, India Somalia Nepal  , yet they are never pulled over and asked for any proof they are in the US legally. One set of rules for legal Americans and another set of rules for illegals. Pure Bullshit

Beaverton Police Department– 07/20/12

Beaverton Police have conducted a Criminal Interdiction Mission on Hwy 26 over the last three days attempting to locate subjects transporting drugs to the outdoor rave-type music festival currently underway this weekend in unincorporated Washington County. Officers have made several drug related arrests with a significant amount of drugs being confiscated. In one traffic stop, officers located illegal drugs in the diaper bag sitting next to an infant.

From July 19th, through July 22nd, an outdoor multiple-band concert is being held at the Horning’s Hideout area. This is an area located seven miles north of Highway 26 from North Plains. More than 5,000 tickets have been sold to this event; with concert patrons camping at the event location over the weekend. Common drugs associated with raves include Marijuana, Ecstasy, and Psilocybin among others

The purpose of the interdiction mission is to address the transportation of illegal narcotics through the City of Beaverton to the concert venue. By interdicting criminal contraband, the Beaverton Police Department is taking steps to make a positive impact on public safety for Beaverton and surrounding communities.

As of Thursday afternoon, the interdiction has led to 36 traffic stops with 15 citations issued, three drug related citations and three arrests. Results for Friday are not yet available.

Officers arrested 32- year old David Edwin Welles (reported to be the drummer and band leader for “Drunken Hearts” – The opening band for the event). He has been charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana over one ounce (approx. 2.5 pounds – to include the candy carrier)

Officers also arrested 21-year old Jesse Dodge, who has been charged with Unlawful DCS Marijuana and Hashish (half pound of marijuana)

Please see the attached news release for picture/arrest associations. Please email jshumway@beavertonoregon.gov for additional photos.

Call White House and Obama -to Protest His Corrupt Illegal Amnesty by Presidential Order

President Bypasses Congress, Violates U.S. Constitution;  Amnesty Declared for Millions of Illegal Aliens!Obama Decrees the Very Amnesty Congress Rejected.

Select Always Allow Images from NumbersUSA to see graphicDear Snoremonster,

For over a decade, NumbersUSA has fought every effort by Congress to pass an amnesty. We’ve fought against proposals by Presidents Bush and Obama. With your help, we’ve won every time.

Now, frustrated by that Congress has actually listened to voters, President Obama has decided to issue an unilateral amnesty, broader even than the DREAM Act, without the consent of Congress.

Last Friday, Obama announced that he is suspending the deportation most illegal aliens under the age of 31—he stated he will also give them work permits—allowing them to take U.S. jobs. These are jobs desperately needed by 20 million unemployed Americans and millions of graduating American youth.

Please donate today or click  https://www.numbersusa.com/

But this declaration is more than a betrayal. It is a direct violation of the U.S. Constitution.

The Constitution gives law-making powers to Congress alone. All immigration policy powers are given to Congress alone. The President has no authority to give a de facto amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.  And doing so right now, when 20 million Americans have no work, is a stab in the back to every American who can’t find a job.

Snoremonster, this is the most serious policy crisis we have faced in two years. If there was ever a time we need your financial help, it’s NOW! You know that nobody fights harder than NumbersUSA. But without your financial help we can do nothing. So, please donate!

Please donate today or click  https://www.numbersusa.com/

Next, only a massive outcry from the American people, including every single NumbersUSA member, can make the White House reverse course. Help turn this situation around by first donating, then going to:

NOTE: Several media representatives have inquired about the release of in-car video of this incident. As a general rule, Oregon State Police does not release in-car video of incidents related to an arrest for a case not adjudicated in court if such a recording was made. Requests related to this arrest will be declined.

***

A 34-year old man from The Dalles was arrested Sunday morning by Oregon State Police (OSP) during a traffic stop when the trooper found the intoxicated man seated in the front passenger seat steering the vehicle as his 10-year old son sat in the driver’s seat.

On May 6, 2012 at approximately 10:45 a.m. Trooper Mark Jubitz observed a 2004 GMC Envoy sport utility vehicle traveling on Klindt Drive in the west end of The Dalles running with its hazard lights on as it failed to maintain a lane of travel and was stopping in the road. Jubitz noted the front passenger was steering the vehicle and stopped it as it pulled into a business parking lot.

When Jubitz contacted the person in the driver’s seat he noted it was a 10-year old boy identified as the passenger’s son. The passenger was identified as JOSE ISRAEL TORRES, age 34, from The Dalles.

Jubitz saw an open container of alcohol at the passenger’s feet and several other empty containers in the back seat. Subsequent investigation led to TORRES’ arrest for DUII, Reckless Driving, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. TORRES was also cited for several traffic violations including No Valid Operators License. He was lodged at the Northern Oregon Regional Correctional Facility (NORCOR).

Prior to his arrest, TORRES called his wife to come pick up their son. When his wife arrived, Jubitz learned she also did not have a valid driver’s license and cited her for the traffic violation.

Contact with the couple’s friends led to several people with valid licenses coming to the scene to pick up the wife and son.

Politicians usually reserve Fridays to release news items for which they don’t want a whole lot of media coverage. CENT investigators shut down suspected drug trafficking organization 0 comments

Investigators with the Columbia Enforcement Narcotics Team arrested two suspected Mexican cartel drug traffickers believed to be responsible for providing large quantities of heroin to Columbia County.

Working in cooperation with Portland Police Bureau’s Neighborhood Response Team, investigators arrested Maribel Sebastian-Evangelista, 31, and Amadeo Lupercio-Quezada, 32, both of Gresham, following a planned high-risk stop in southeast Portland on Feb. 24.

The St. Helens Police Department’s Critical Incident Response Team also raided the couples’ Gresham apartment just as the two suspects were being taken into custody.

According to CENT Unit Supervisor Sgt. Phillip Edwards, the couple made conservative claims at the time of their arrest alleging they were responsible for the sale of more than 11 pounds of heroin during just the past two months. The estimated street value of this heroin is estimated at nearly a half million dollars.

At the time of the their arrest, investigators seized methamphetamine, cocaine and more than 2 ounces of heroin in addition to scales and packaging materials. Cash amounting to nearly $11,000 was also seized. Investigators also found a small shrine in the apartment depicting Jesus Malverde, reportedly the patron saint of narcotics trafficking.

“These shrines are frequently found in homes of Mexican drug traffickers and are believed by the traffickers to bring them protection against law enforcement,” said Edwards.

CENT officers began their investigation in early January after information obtained from individuals recently arrested in Columbia County pointed them in the direction of a high-level Mexican drug organization in Gresham believed to have been the main source of heroin in Columbia County.

During their investigation, officers identified Sebastian-Evangelista and Lupercio-Quezada as the suspected leaders of the organization. Investigators then tracked the daily movements of the organization through physical, electronic, and scientific means to “not only build their case on the organization but to also identify many of the organizations Columbia County and Portland mid-level drug distributors,” said Edwards.

Both suspects are being held at the Multnomah County Detention Center on multiple felony charges including manufacture and delivery of heroin, methamphetamine, and cocaine. They were also charged with conducting their illegal drug enterprises within 1,000 feet of a school. An additional charge of first-degree child neglect stemmed from the couple making drug deliveries with their children present. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents placed detention holds on both subjects pending a further review.

“The investigation is far from over,” said Edwards. “We intend to focus additional time and resources to a complete dismantling of the local arm of this and any other drug organization that prey upon our Columbia County communities for profit.”

Illegal-hiring ag coalition “See Oregon Agriculture” says NumbersUSA’s E-Verify ad campaign threatens ‘doomsday’ crisis in agriculture

Illegal-hiring ag coalition says NumbersUSA’s E-Verify ad campaign threatens ‘doomsday’ crisis in agriculture

Agriculture and the Oregon nursery industry is the third largest Corporate Political Industry in Oregon. It is because of them that our governments  lavish welfare and housing on illegals. It is because of them we have mexican barrios full of gangs and anchor babies in once pristine towns, that only thirty years ago were nice places to live. It is because of them we have the mexican drug cartel growing marijuana on state lands, because where illegals go , the cartel goes.

By Roy Beck, Wednesday, March 14, 2012, 12:36 PM EDT – posted on NumbersUSA

Our TV/radio ads & grassroots campaign are stirring up some signs of panic among the supporters of illegal foreign workers

NumbersUSA is creating ‘crisis of near doomsday proportions,’ says a coalition of illegal-alien-hiring businesses

A Big Ag coalition apparently believes that we are threatening to have some success in our campaign against Speaker Boehner and his blocking of E-Verify legislation since it passed the House Judiciary Committee last September.

The Save America’s Food and Economy coalition (SAFE) has just issued an urgent national release criticizing NumbersUSA’s ad campaign. It refers to SAFE President Craig J. Regelbrugge’s speech before growers, manufacturers and agriculture experts at the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim, California.

SAFE announced:

(Regelbrugge) expressed concern that misguided organizations like NumbersUSA, a group fanning the flames of fear and division on the immigration reform debate, will end up causing the destruction of struggling farms and the communities that rely on them.

“NumbersUSA recently announced a major advertising campaign targeting Congressional districts, including House Speaker John Boehners Ohio district, to scare members of Congress into voting for an immediate E-Verify mandate on employers and the economy.

SAFE argues NumbersUSA is sabotaging America’s food independence and security by threatening Speaker Boehner into forcing passage of Rep. Lamar Smiths (R-TX) Legal Workforce Act or H.R. 2885.

And who is “fanning flames?” Believe me, if we thought E-Verify would callapse our food industry, we would be working for a very different solution. Here are some things to keep in mind when reading the hyperbole of the SAFE coalition:

  • Despite the tendency in the news media and among too many Americans to equate farmwork and illegal immigration, fewer than 5% of illegal aliens work in agriculture. The purpose of mandatory E-Verify is primarily about opening up non-ag jobs to unemployed Americans who are looking for work in the same construction, manufacturing, hospitality and other service occupations where most illegal aliens work.
  • I believe it is unlikely that farmers will be able to replace most of their illegal workers with Americans, at least not in the near-term. But we can’t exempt farmworkers from E-Verify since that would provide a huge loophole for a continuing flow of illegal immigration, and would continue to undermine the wages and working conditions of the hundreds of thousands of Americans who still do farm work.
  • If E-Verify passes, farmers won’t have to rely on American workers. If they anticipate a worker shortage, they can apply for legal foreign guestworkers through the federal guest ag-worker H-2A visa. There is no limit to how many they can bring in legally. There would be no reason for any shortage of legal farm workers, but mandatory E-Verify would end decades of lawlessness by the growers. (By the way, NumbersUSA supports now — as we have for a decade — the ongoing efforts inside Congress to make the H-2A program easier for law-abiding farmers to us.)

Isn’t it outrageous to have a group of businesses proudly admit that they are serial lawbreakers — and then use their criminality as an excuse for allowing them to continue in their outlaw ways?

Look what the SAFE coalition admitted in their national diatribe against NumbersUSA:

Nearly 70% of farm employees are unauthorized, yet skilled and experienced migrant workers who are responsible for the nations food production.

The current version of E-Verify without a ‘workable solution for farms,’ says Regelbrugge, ‘would effectively kill America’s agriculture.’

‘This is a crisis of near doomsday proportions,’ warned Regelbrugge. ‘Congress and the American people won’t realize what happened until it is too late.’

Regelbrugge reminded the audience about Georgia, where the state has lost hundreds of millions in crops and economic activity because of a one-sided state law that has E-Verify at the centerpiece.

This is a particularly interesting claim about Georgia, which appears to be greatly exaggerated. A state commission that studied Georgia’s farms found indeed that there had been some losses because farmers had not prepared well enough in advance for the fact that bands of roving illegal aliens wouldn’t just show up as usual.

But if there has been some ag losses in Georgia, there certainly has been no collapse of the industry. The use of Georgia may suggest the possibility of disruptions in the agricultural industry but nothing like what the Big Ag coalition is projecting for the country.

However, the Georgia study shows that if there are disruptions the fault would primarily lie with the farmers themselves. The state study found a large percentage of farmers didn’t even know the H-2A visa existed. This year, the only reason for a scarcity of farm workers in Georgia will be because farmers are too stubborn or too inefficient to figure out how to contract for legal workers in the same way that North Carolina farmers have done for years.

Most farmers in America are NOT outlaws. They do NOT hire illegal foreign workers. They DO obey the law. They ARE patriotic good citizens and neighbors.

It must be so embarrasing to most farmers to fantastic claims like this one made by the SAFE ag lobby:

If (H.R. 2885) passed today without an agricultural solution, over two-thirds of America’s skilled farm workforce would disappear almost overnight. The country would find itself relying more on food production from places like China, which has already increased its fruit and vegetable exports to the U.S. by 555% over 10 years, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

‘We support the need to reform a troubled immigration system, with effective enforcement included,’ said Regelbrugge. ‘But, let’s be smart about it. These groups are playing with fire and risking the economy. Poll after poll shows that the economy and jobs are the number one priority for voters in fact, only 5% of Americans rank immigration at the top of their list of important issues. So, why is NumbersUSA forcing the issue? And why would Congress let them?’

Just because a person thinks immigration is the SECOND MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE FACING AMERICAN doesn’t mean a person thinks it is unimportant. Don’t you just love the kind of logic Mr. Regelbrugge uses to dismiss the public’s immigration concerns. Also, the last time I looked, the point of mandatory E-Verify is about jobs.

This SAFE public declaration shows you the kind of pressure Members of Congress are under to keep blocking H.R. 2885 (the Legal Workforce Act). It is up to an army of regular citizens to apply an opposite pressure on these Members of Congress to ignore the greedy pleas of these admitted federal lawbreakers.

H.R. 2885 is exceptionally lenient with the Big Growers. It gives them two years longer than most large employers (three years after enactment) to E-Verify all their workers. That should be far more than enough time for any farmer to either figure out how to use the H-2A system or to join a co-op that will do it for them.

Interestingly, though, no House leader has thus far publicly stated that ag concerns are behind their delay on bringing H.R. 2885 to the floor. It could be that the ag arguments are just too embarrassing to acknowledge as being influential.

Numbersusa TV campaign on Boehner blocking E-Verify is front-page news on Capitol Hill today

Our TV campaign on Boehner blocking E-Verify is front-page news on Capitol Hill today

By Roy Beck, Thursday, March 8, 2012, 4:09 PM EST – posted on NumbersUSA

Members of Congress and their staffers started the day with one of Washington’s daily newspapers blaring at the top of Page One:

E-Verify group to pressure Boehner with ads

Says speaker has stalled House vote

By late this afternoon, Speaker Boehner’s office was proclaiming his loyalty to E-Verify and pointing fingers at committee chairmen for keeping the bill from a floor vote. A lot of phone calling from voters in between played a major role.

I will provide a lot of the story below and interject my comments in this type format. — ROY

By Stephen Dinan
Wednesday, March 7, 2012

Fed up with Republican congressional leaders, a group advocating a crackdown on immigration will begin running ads Thursday demanding that House Speaker John A. Boehner allow a vote on legislation requiring businesses to use E-Verify, the government database to check workers’ legal status.

NumbersUSA, the group sponsoring the ads, accused Mr. Boehner and his fellow Republican House leaders of blocking the bill over fears that it will anger Hispanic voters in an election year. But NumbersUSA says enacting the bill — which cleared a key committee in September but has since stalled — would help clear out unauthorized workers and open those jobs for Americans.

“Our gloves are off,” said Roy Beck, executive director of the group, who noted that his organization has pushed for action behind the scenes without success.

He said the group is now ready to take the issue public with radio and television ads designed to force the GOP to choose between politics and American workers.

“At some point, you just have to bring this stuff out into public. We’ve given the leadership all kinds of time, all kinds of excuses, but it’s been six months,” Mr. Beck said.

We were pleased to hear that this story circulated quickly around House Republican circles today, ensuring that the people who have the ability to move Speaker Boehner (Republican Representatives) know that a grassroots citizen campaign is underway. Each of them has a choice of standing with unemployed Americans and mandatory E-Verify or standing with those who want to stop H.R. 2885 (the Legal Workforce Act) and keep 7 million illegal aliens in their U.S. jobs.

Our hope is that rank-and-file Republicans who overwhelmingly support H.R. 2885 will stop cowering in fear of the House GOP leadership and band together and demand a vote.

If you haven’t seen the TV ad yet, watch it here:

And click here to listen to our radio ad:

Michael Steel, a spokesman for Mr. Boehner, blamed the legislative process for the bill’s delay.

“Speaker Boehner has supported legislation with E-Verify in the past, and the issue is currently working its way through the committee process,” Mr. Steel told The Washington Times in an email.

This was great news to hear, especially in conjunction with what the Speaker’s staff was telling citizens who called in response to our ad. The implication of all of it was that the Speaker would be happy to support the mandatory E-Verify bill if it ever gets out of committee.

The problem is that his staff keeps telling callers that the bill is stuck in both the Ways & Means Committee and the Judiciary Committee. But Judiciary passed H.R. 2885 on a 22-13 vote in September and has nothing left to do.

As far as Ways & Means, it is true that Chairman Dave Camp (R-Mich.) still has to sign off on the part of the bill that requires the Social Security Administration to provide notifications when it suspects a worker has stolen an American’s identity to get the job.

But Chairman Camp and his staff have done next to zero since September in even looking at the bill. Citizens calling Camp’s offices today found staffers inaccurately pointing the finger at other committees as having responsibility for stonewalling the bill.

What we found today is that none of these major Republican leaders wants to publicly admit opposition to H.R. 2885. And all want to blame somebody else. But the fact is that Speaker Boehner has at the least allowed Chairman Camp to stop mandatory E-Verify in its tracks. At worst, he has given Chairman Camp the sign that that is what he wants. The latter seems plausible because Speaker Boehner told two of our members last fall in separate states that he had no intention of bringing up E-Verify or any other immigration enforcement legislation for a vote until after the 2012 elections.

Public poking by citizens and news media today is exposing a different story, and I am pleased.

Meanwhile, three of the four Republican presidential candidates have called for E-Verify to be made mandatory as part of their security-first approach. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas is the only one who has rejected the idea, arguing that it would turn businesses into immigration police forces.

Mr. Beck said Republicans should see the issue as a winner, not a political liability. He said Democrats already have enough ammunition to attack Republicans for their stance on cracking down on illegal immigration, and there is little left for the GOP to lose by pushing for E-Verify.

A Washington Times/JZ Analytics Poll released Monday found that Republican primary voters were more than willing to accept the political price for a get-tough approach.

By nearly 4-to-1, 68 percent to 18 percent, likely voters said the GOP should pursue stricter enforcement even if it would cost Republicans the support of Hispanics. That was true for self-identified Republicans and for independents who planned to vote during the GOP primaries.

What we have been hearing behind the scenes for six months is that Republican leaders won’t bring E-Verify to a vote because it would offend Hispanic voters.

During more than a week of constant phoning of leaders by grassroots citizens who report back to us what they hear, not a single office has brought up the Hispanic vote issue. That is another victory. It suggests that they don’t feel comfortable using that as an excuse in public for why they are keeping hundreds of thousands of American unemployed by not passing mandatory E-Verify.

It’s a good thing they didn’t claim it because the Times’ poll shows even Republican voters don’t think fear of Hispanic backlash is justification for keeping Americans out of work. (I have to note that Hispanic voters with especially high unemployment would benefit the fastest and the most by mandatory E-Verify because they disproportionately live and work in proximity to illlegal workers.)

Hackers Busted After 1 Becomes FBI Informant

by The Associated Press

NEW YORK March 7, 2012, 04:04 am ET NEW YORK (AP) — An Internet outlaw’s decision to go to work for the FBI poured light on a secretive world where young computer experts caused havoc and where authorities say a Chicago man and others celebrated their successes as they stole hundreds of thousands of dollars with stolen credit card numbers.

Court documents unsealed Tuesday revealed charges against six individuals in Europe and the United States and showed the clash between law enforcement and Internet hackers, a group of worldwide computer enthusiasts already threatening to retaliate.

Law enforcement officials said it marked the first time core members of the loosely organized worldwide hacking group Anonymous have been identified and charged in the U.S.

Some Anonymous members put on a brave face.

“Anonymous is a hydra, cut off one head and we grow two back,” read one defiant message posted to Twitter.

At the center was the legendary hacker known as “Sabu,” who when he was arrested last June was identified as Hector Xavier Monsegur, 28, a self-taught, unemployed computer programmer with no college education. Authorities said his cooperation has helped to prevent more than 300 Internet attacks.

Authorities said he was living on welfare in public housing in New York as he carried out crimes that made him a hero to some in cyberspace until he made a rookie mistake — he posted something online without cloaking his IP address, or computer identity — and someone tipped off the FBI.

Court records show he agreed to cooperate during an August plea proceeding and testify against others.

Among those charged Tuesday was 27-year-old Jeremy Hammond of Chicago. Investigators said Hammond boasted that he’d snared the personal data of a former U.S. vice president and one-time CIA director as part of an attack in December of Strategic Forecasting Inc. or Stratfor, a global intelligence firm in Austin, Texas, that affected up to 860,000 victims.

The government said Hammond conspired to hack into computer systems used by Stratfor, which describes itself as a subscription-based provider of geopolitical analysis.

It said he and co-conspirators stole credit card information for approximately 60,000 credit card users and used some of the stolen data to make more than $700,000 (€532,197)in unauthorized charges.

Court papers said a January email titled “Official Emergency Communique Straight from the Anonymous Hacker Underground” was sent to the company’s customers whose accounts had been compromised. The papers said it claimed: “The sheer amount of destruction we wreaked on Stratfor’s servers is the digital equivalent of a nuclear bomb: leveling their systems in such a way that they will never be able to recover.”

Investigators said Monsegur and the other defendants were associated with Anonymous, and some were also part of the elite spinoff organization that Monsegur formed last May, Lulz Security or LulzSec. “Lulz” is Internet slang for “laughs” or “amusement.”

Monsegur and the other defendants were accused in court papers of hacking into corporations and government agencies around the world, including the U.S. Senate, filching confidential information, defacing websites and temporarily putting victims out of business. Authorities said more than 1 million people were affected.

Prosecutors said that among other things, the hackers, with Monsegur as their ringleader, disrupted websites belonging to Visa, Mastercard and Paypal in 2010 and 2011 because the companies refused to accept donations to Wikileaks, the organization that spilled a trove of U.S. military and diplomatic secrets.

Also, prosecutors said, Monsegur and the others attacked a PBS website last May and planted a false story that slain rapper Tupac Shakur was alive in New Zealand. Investigators said it was retaliation for what the hackers perceived to be unfavorable news coverage of Wikileaks on the PBS program “Frontline.”

A Twitter account associated with Monsegur has some 45,000 followers and regularly spouts expletive-filled anti-government messages. His last tweet on Monday was in German. An earlier tweet described the federal government as being run by “cowards.”

“Don’t give in to these people,” the message read. “Fight back. Stay strong.”

Monsegur pleaded guilty in August to charges that included conspiracy to commit hacking, admitting he obtained dozens of credit card numbers online and gave them to others or used them to pay his bills. His lawyer, Philip L. Weinstein, declined to comment Tuesday.

His deal with prosecutors requires his full cooperation and testimony at any trial. In return, he gets leniency from a potential prison sentence of more than 120 years. He is free on $50,000 bail.

Also charged with conspiracy to commit computer hacking were Ryan Ackroyd, 25, of Doncaster, England; Jake Davis, 19, of Lerwick, Scotland; Darren Martyn, 25, of Galway, Ireland, and Donncha O’Cearrbhail, 19, of Birr, Ireland.

Davis’ lawyer, Adel Buckingham, declined comment. Contact information for the other European defendants’ lawyers could not immediately be located.

Hammond, who was arrested Monday, appeared before a federal judge in Chicago and was ordered transferred to New York.

Defense attorney Jim Fennerty described Hammond as compassionate, saying he had rallied against plans to hold the 2016 Olympics in Chicago because he felt it would hurt low-income people and had protested against neo-Nazi groups.

“He’s concerned about people and issues — that’s why I like him,” Fennerty said.

In July, when LulzSec’s attacks were grabbing world headlines, someone alleged that Sabu was Monsegur and posted personal details about him on the Internet. Sabu took to Twitter to deny it.

Barrett Brown, a former journalist who became closely associated with Anonymous, said Sabu’s cooperation with the FBI could do serious damage to Anonymous.

“He was an admired Anon,” he said. “He’s been a leader. People came to him with information. God knows what else he told them.”

Occupy Anti_Corporation “Activists” Smash Bank Windows ATM for Anti-Corporation Day

Portland Police Investigating Major Vandalism to Sunnyside Neighborhood Bank
Portland Police Bureau– 02/29/12

I would like to take a moment and point out that Banks are obvious targets. There are many corporations out there that are destructive to Americans. One is the Educational system such as Unversities, who actively  promote H1-B workers, open borders and Amnesty, all resulting in the break down of the US.

Then there is the Oregon Nursery Industry, that actively lobbies for Amnesty, and  unlimited mexican migrants . The Mexican Illegals imported and hired by the Nursery Industry( I am including the wine industry and those who grow strawberries and apples)  remained and took over Woodburn, Canby, Forest Grove  etc , those Mexicans brought gangs and the Mexican Drug Cartel to Oregon.  They also brought a huge welfare burden to Oregon Taxpayers. The Occupy Movement is for open borders amnesty and hasn’t got a clue about  the cost of the invasion.

So look a little deeper fools, you are surrounded.

On Tuesday February 28, 2012, at 10:21 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to Central Precinct responded to a premise check at the U.S. Bank branch located at 1225 Southeast Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard. Apasserby called to report the glass front door of the bank shattered.

Officers arrived and found multiple windows and glass doors broken as well as ATM’s and large rocks both inside and outside the bank. Officers cleared the bank to make sure there were no intruders and called for a responding party to come to the bank to begin securing the location.

At the time of the incident, there was no suspect information. Officers will be working with bank security to recover any possible video evidence.

Media outlets reported to police that an email was received from a group claiming responsibility for the vandalism. The email states:

“Communique for Night of 2/28”
“Author: Some Of Those Responsible”

“About an hour and a half ago (around ten pm, Tuesday night) a group of anticapitalists rolled up on the US Bank at SE 39th and Main and smashed out its windows and ATMs.

“This was done in preparation for February 29th’s Shut Down The Corporations Day. We chose a bank because banks have upheld the sanctity of capitalism, making it possible for a few people to accrue copious amounts of wealth. This was also for the role the banks have played in the current financial crisis and the level of environmental destruction they have supported. These banks are responsible for throwing poor and oppressed people the world over under the bus of extreme poverty and destitution. They did this all to keep the pockets of a few rich CEOs lined with extravagant bonuses, and it’s time we started taking from those pockets.

“We also did this to remind #Occupy to keep its horizons open. Rather than resort to the gory analogy about cats, we prefer to say they’re more than one way to shut down a corporation. Parades through the city may be able to accomplish this task on occasion, but at the end of the day there’s really no replacement for a few dozen folks in masks with rocks. We don’t know whether this will be taken as solidarity or antagonism by the core of Occupy, but frankly that isn’t worth dwelling on for us. You said you wanted to help shut down corporations, and we helped to do that in our own way. Take it or leave it, we’re going to keep doing it.

“Good night, Occupy, and good luck tomorrow.”

SHERIDAN SEARCH WARRANT UNCOVERS LARGE SCALE INDOOR MARIJUANA GROW

On February 28, 2012 at about 6:20 hours, the Yamhill County Interagency Narcotics Team (YCINT) served a search warrant on a Sheridan residence which housed a large scale indoor marijuana grow. The search warrant was part of a joint case with the Portland Police Bureau’s Drugs and Vice Division (DVD) and the only connection known in Yamhill County at this time.

The residence in question, located at 348 NW Gardner Street, housed a sophisticated hydroponic marijuana grow system that took up the entirety of the house. Bedrooms, living rooms, and dining rooms had been converted to house different stages of marijuana gardens from starter seedlings to plants nearing harvest. 544 plants were recovered in all with a street value of over $500,000.

Power to the residence was being stolen and diverted, resulting in a tangled web of makeshift wiring throughout the house. Ventilation holes had been cut in floors, walls and ceilings, pesticides and fertilizers were found throughout the structure, and black mold was prevalent on walls and ceilings.

Sheriff Jack Crabtree, who surveyed the scene shortly after the warrant, was concerned about the damage to the residence and potential safety risks to the neighborhood. “This group of criminals clearly had no regard for the owners of the property they were renting, or the safety of the surrounding neighbors. They placed themselves and the community in a great deal of danger with this operation.”

Taken into custody at the scene was Wei Song Zhao, 49 years of age of the Gardner Street address. He was lodged at the Yamhill County Jail on charges of Unlawful Manufacture and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and his bail is currently set at $30,000. Additional drug and theft charges are expected.

The case is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.

YCINT was assisted by Portland General Electric, the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office, The Oregon State Police, and the McMinnville Police Department’s Tactical Support Team.

Anyone with information on this case or any similar case is encouraged to contact Sgt. Chris Ray of YCINT at 503-472-6565.

Portland Police Investigating Two Vandalisms to Hollywood Neighborhood Bank and Coffee Shop
Portland Police Bureau– 02/29/12

On Wednesday February 29, 2012, at 2:17 a.m., Portland Police officers from North Precinct responded to the report of breaking glass at Northeast Broadway and 39th Avenue. A neighbor heard the sound of glass breaking near the Key Bank branch, located at 3839 Northeast Broadway.

Officers arrived in the area and located a number of windows and the ATM had been damaged with rocks. Officers also located windows damaged at Starbucks across the street. The address of the Starbucks location is 1633 Northeast 39th Avenue.

A neighborhood search was performed by officers and a police K-9 unit but did not locate any suspects. Officers will be working with Key Bank to recover any possible video evidence.

An email was received by several local media outlets from a group claiming responsibility for the vandalisms. The email reads:

“F29 Eve Round Deux”

“author: w-w-w-window breaker”

“Sounds like our comrades had a joyous little romp around the US bank on 39th. At about 1:30 this morning, inspired by their shenanigans we high-tailed it over to 38th and Broadway where a Key Bank was just sitting there, all windows intact, just waiting to be fucked up.”

“So we destroyed the windows and doors and ATM. Then we had some rocks left over so we fucked up the Starbucks across the street for old times’ sake.”

“Wherever capital chooses for its bunker, we will be there to attack it in the night.”

“For freedom, for equality, for anarchy”

Busted Francisco Luna-Flores Deputies Find Cowardly Lying Hit & Run Suspected Illegal ALien Francisco Luna-Flores who hit Bicyclist

  • Deputies Find Hit & Run Suspected Illegal ALien Francisco Luna-Flores  who hit Bicyclist, Washington Co. Sheriff’s Office– 02/20/12

    Summary of Event

Starting around 4:30 this afternoon deputies responded to three crashes involving vehicles and pedestrians or bicyclists. One of the crashes was a hit-and-run and deputies found the suspect shortly after the crash. All three pedestrians were injured.

    Full Details

On Monday, February 20, 2012, Sheriff’s deputies were very busy dealing with crashes involving vehicles vs. pedestrians and bicycles. The calls started at 4:27 p.m. with a pedestrian who was struck by a car in the intersection of SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway and SW Scholls Ferry Road in the community of Raleigh Hills. The pedestrian had a “walk signal” and was lawfully in the intersection when she was struck by a vehicle turning right on a red light. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was cited for Failing to Yield to a Pedestrian.

At 5:42 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to a bicyclist who had been hit at the intersection of SW 185th Avenue and SW Blanton Street in the community of Aloha. The crash involved a hit and run driver in a dark colored SUV. Deputies arrived and found 46-year-old Natalya Tupikova (from Beaverton) with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. She told deputies she was riding her bike north on SW 185th Ave. when an SUV traveling south on 185th Ave. turned in front of her and struck her. Deputies investigating the crash broadcast the description of a dark colored SUV with the first three numbers on the license plate.

An observant deputy found a 2002 black Dodge Durango in an apartment complex several blocks from the crash. The numbers matched the first three given on the plate of the suspect vehicle. There were two occupants in the Durango and a third in an apartment in the complex. At first all three mexicans denied any knowledge of the crash, but after deputies pointed out several discrepancies in their stories they admitted their involvement in the crash. The driver, 51-year-old Francisco Luna-Flores (from
Beaverton) said he panicked and left the scene of the crash. Deputies arrested him and charged him with Felony Fail to Perform the Duties of a Driver (Hit and Run.) He was later booked into the Washington County Jail.

  • Mrs. Tupikova was transported to the hospital in an ambulance.

At 6:27 p.m., deputies responded to SW 185th Avenue and SW Pheasant Lane for a bicyclist that was hit by a car. The bicyclist, 45-year-old Gordon J. Douglas of Aloha, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Emanuel Hospital via ground ambulance. Witnesses said Mr. Douglas was riding down the sidewalk and suddenly turned left and rode straight into traffic. A car traveling in the slow lane nearly missed Mr. Douglas and a car in the fast lane struck him. The driver was not at fault. Alcohol seems to be a factor on the part of Mr. Douglas. Deputies had the south bound lanes of 185th Ave. closed for a time while the crash was investigated.

Update : Emma West to Stand Trial June 11th, 2012-two charges-

A large contingent of her  supporters were in court, with several having to be turned away due to a lack of  space

Part of the torture in a noble free society is waiting until your half dead for a trial after being arrested on trumped-up charges. They do this so citizens won’t do stupid things like ask for a trial and plead guilty when they are innocent just to get it over with. In the US, Public Defenders, spend their energy trying to force their clients to plead.

Anti Everify Bill Stopped in Washington State: Numbersusa

Anti-E-Verify Bill Stopped in Washington State

Wednesday, February 15, 2012, 7:00 AM EST – posted on NumbersUSA

HB 2568, a bill that would have prohibited Washington State local governments from requiring employers to use E-Verify, appears to have died. Democrats in control of the House planned to but did not debate the bill prior to the Feb. 14 deadline for passage of bills from their chamber of origin. Unless House Democratic leaders can garner a 2/3rds majority for reviving the bill – an unlikely scenario – the bill is dead for the year.

The bill had strong backing from agricultural and pro-illegal alien groups because it would have stopped a growing number of local governments from requiring employers to use E-Verify. 11 jurisdictions in the state have passed E-Verify ordinances thus far. HB 2568 would have repealed those ordinances and prohibited new ones.

The measure outraged Washington State NumbersUSA members and other citizens who were instrumental in passed in the local E-Verify ordinances. They repeatedly pounded House Democrats with calls, emails and faxes asking for its defeat. Their efforts apparently paid off.

Pramila Jayapal from the pro-illegal alien group OneAmerica told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer that the vote was too politically charged for Democratic legislators. The House Democratic leadership’s excuse for not bringing up the bill – time just ran out – shielded them from having to vote.

Read here for more information.

The boy was walking with an adult family member at a marked crosswalk on E Street near 23rd Avenue when he was hit, said Capt. Mike Herb, a police spokesman.

He was being treated at OHSU Hospital for injuries deemed not life-threatening. His name was not released.

Carina Delgado, 33, of Forest Grove was identified as the driver of the Ford Explorer that struck him.

She was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian and driving with a suspended license.

Weather did not appear to be a factor in the collision, Herb said.

This was my son Haiden Allen that was hit. He is ok, just got a bloody banged up face. But this is a serious issue. The driver was simply cited for failing to yield and she could have killed my only child. I am working to have a flashing lights added to the crosswalk in this place. Its right next to a school. I would hate to see any other children hit.

You should be pushing for MUCH stiffer punishment for people who drive while suspended. I”d push for the death penalty myself: It’s inexcusable to operate a motor vehicle without a valid license, for exactly the reason you experienced.

Illegal Alien from Mexico  back on tranplant list despite immigration status

Thursday, February 09, 2012

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — An East Bay man will be getting a kidney transplant after all, despite his immigration status.

Jesus Navarro, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico, learned this week that UCSF Medical Center reversed course and now says it will perform the life-saving procedure.

UCSF had denied the operation because of concerns his immigration status might affect his financial stability. But during a Tuesday meeting, officials said it was all just a misunderstanding and they are working with Navarro to ensure he can pay the long-term care.

“I feel just great; I feel like I am going to receive my transplant,’ Navarro said. “I’m going to be able to enjoy being with my daughter.”

140,000 people signed a petition of support.

Navarro still has to wait six months to reach the top of the kidney donor list.

Obama Betrays American High Tech Workers:News to Pres. Obama? 1.8 Million Americans With Engineering DEGREES Don’t Have Engineering JOBS

News to Pres. Obama? 1.8 Million Americans With Engineering DEGREES Don’t Have Engineering JOBS

By Roy Beck, Wednesday, February 1, 2012, 6:44 PM EST – posted on NumbersUSA

Pres. Obama’s own staff has produced the data to show that the President was wrong Monday when he said America doesn’t have enough engineers, was wrong last week in the State of the Union to say we need more high-skilled foreign workers, and was wrong in sending out spokespersons to claim that not enough Americans are obtaining engineering degrees. But the President — like most Republican leaders — tends not to look for facts when thinking about immigration but just looks to his elite business cronies.

Look at the numbers in this shocking new report . . .

DR. CAMAROTA CATCHES THE PRESIDENT WITH HIS ENGINEER STATS DOWN

Earlier this week, Pres. Obama was caught off-guard in an internet Q&A when a woman asked why the government continues to issue work visas to foreign engineers while her engineer husband can’t find a job.

Look at the exchange here:

The President found the question “interesting” because “industry tells me that they don’t have enough highly skilled engineers.”

The White House sent out spokespersons to defend the President by talking about how not enough Americans are getting engineering degrees.

My immediate question was: How many Americans with engineering degrees don’t have an engineering job?

Amazingly just this afternoon, Dr. Steve Camarota of the Center for Immigration Studies has published a report that answers the question.

We will talk more about the meaning of these stats in our weekly webcast at 3:30 p.m. (Eastern) Thursday.. But chew on the numbers.

U.S.-BORN INDIVIDUALS WITH ENGINEERING DEGREES (under age 66) (based on most recent American Community Survey by the Obama Administration itself)

101,000 — U.S. engineers looking for a job who can’t find any work at all

244,000 — U.S. engineers who have dropped completely out of the labor market

1,470,000 — U.S. engineers who are working but no longer as engineers ========================================================

1.8 million — Total U.S.-born individuals under the age of 66 who have engineering degrees but don’t have an engineering job

There is a lot to say about all those numbers. But one thing that can’t be said is that the United States doesn’t “have enough highly skilled engineers” among its own citizens.

These numbers were compiled by Pres. Obama’s own staff. But he apparently never thought to check on the facts. He was perfectly willing to take the word of the business elites with whom he hobnobs when they claim they have to have more foreign engineers.

Letter of Law Enforcement against Gang of Eight Amnesty Bill S 744- Rubio

You can read the letter below. A .pdf of the press release may be found here.

——

Dear Esteemed Members of Congress,

We write to you today as a diverse group of both law enforcement officers and representatives to express our deep concerns regarding immigration bill S. 744, the “Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act,” which is currently before the Senate Judiciary Committee. S. 744 will profoundly impact the security of the country, our nation’s communities, and the people we as law enforcement officers are sworn to protect.

Driven by mere speculation that S. 744 may be enacted by Congress, illegal border crossings have spiked dramatically. Thousands of unaccompanied children, runaways and families now attempt to illegally enter the United States in hope s of receiving legalization. This trend will surely continue after enactment as S. 744 provides no commitment of stronger border enforcement for at least five to ten years following the initial legalization phase. Thousands will be victimized or perish as they attempt the treacherous crossing into the United States in hopes of attaining legal status. Cut off dates established in S. 744 will mean little to those in other countries who are unfamiliar with the 867 page bill. Without a strategy of border security first, S. 744 will only draw more illegal immigrants into the United States resulting in unnecessary harm to many.

Border security is also critical to preventing criminal elements and national security threats from entering the United States. Perh aps at no time in our nation’s history is border security more important to maintaining public safety than it is now. Unfortunately, S. 744 provides no guarantee of increased border security. Instead, it relinquishes Congress’ authority to establish border security measures to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) which will then develop its own unilateral border security plan. DHS is then permitted to measure its own successes and failures after implementing that plan. Clearly recognizing the high probability that this approach will fail and DHS will not develop a successful border security plan, S. 744 establishes a commission to review security at the border five years after the plan has been implemented (if the Secretary decides such a commission is needed). But the powerless commission will have only the authority to make recommendations on how to achieve border security. Those recommendations may very well be ignored by DHS. It is important to note that S. 744 dissolves the commission 30 days after it makes its recommendations to the President, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and Congress. S. 744 also grants the Secretary the authority to unilaterally determine the amount of border fencing that will be constructed, which could result in litt le or no fencing being built. In summary, S. 744 appears to provide no tangible provisions for increased border security.

S. 744 also does not address current failures of interior enforcement that will render any legislation ineffective, regardless of it s provisions. Currently, ICE officers cannot arrest or remove most illegal immigrants they come in contact with, even if officers believe those individuals present a risk to public safety. To avoid offending special interests, ICE officers are also prohibited from making street arrests, and are also prohibited from arresting illegal immigrants who are public charges or who violate laws involving fraudulent documents. ICE officers are under orders to wait until immigration violators commit and are convicted of criminal offenses and placed in jail by state authorities before they can act in their capacity as Federal immigration officers and make an arrest. Even though illegal entry and visa overstay violations account for the majority of the 11 million illeg al immigrants currently residing in the United States, DHS and ICE have directed ICE officers not to enforce the laws related to these offenses.

Congress can and must take decisive steps to limit the discretion of political appointees and empower ICE and CBP to perform their respective missions and enforce the laws enacted by Congress. Rather than limiting the power of those political appointees within DHS, S. 744 provides them with nearly unlimited discretion, which will serve only to further cripple the law enforcement missions of these agencies.

Further, S. 744 establishes a biographic (instead of biometric) exit system that has already proven easy to circumvent and not worthy of investment. S. 744 limits the exit system to air and sea ports and doe s not expand the program to include monitoring of the nation’s land borders. This will not provide adequate coverage and security to the nation’s ports of entry and will result in identifying only a fraction of the visa violators unlawfully present in the United States. Even if an effective biometric exit system is eventually established, the size of the ICE workforce is too small to effectively utilize it. With only 5,000 ICE immigration officers nationwide – a force smaller than many police departments – ICE lacks the resources to locate and apprehend visa violators identified by the new exit system, rendering the system useless. S. 744 does not provide for any guaranteed increase in the number of ICE immigration officers.

Prior to the completion of any new enforcement mechanisms, S. 744 creates a new legal status for illegal immigrants, known as Registered Provisional Immigrant status (RPI), which forgives previous Federal immigration violations. However, Section 2101 of S. 744 also explicitly opens th is legal status to those with long criminal records, gang affiliations, felony arrests, and those with multiple misdemeanor criminal convictions. Furthermore, S. 744 allows criminal aliens to continue to commit and be convicted of criminal offenses after r eceiving provisional legal status, as long as the individual’s convictions remain below the eligibility threshold.

For instance, the Secretary of DHS must waive misdemeanor criminal convictions for purposes of determining an illegal immigrant’s eli gibility for RPI status. In many states, misdemeanor crimes include serious offenses such as assault, assault of a law enforcement officer, vehicular homicide, possession of drug manufacturing equipment, unlawful placing or discharging of an explosive devi ce, DUI, and sex offenses.

Section 3701 of S. 744 states that illegal immigrants who are members of street gangs – most of which are heavily involved in criminal activity and violent crimes in the communities and areas we police – simply have to claim tha t they renounce their gang affiliation in order to obtain a waiver that would make them admissible to the U.S., and potentially eligible for legalization and eventual citizenship. We anticipate, as should Congress, that many gang members will falsely clai m to renounce their association with criminal street gangs to obtain legal status and continue engaging in unlawful conduct in the United States.

Section 2101 of S. 744 states that illegal immigrants who have committed document fraud, made false statement s to authorities, and have absconded from court – ordered removal hearings are all eligible to apply for legal status.

Section 2101 of S. 744 directs DHS to ignore convictions under state laws that mirror federal laws on crimes such as human smuggling, harb oring, trafficking, and gang crimes when approving applications for legalization.

This same section also gives the Secretary of Homeland Security virtually unlimited discretion to waive any manner of crimes that would otherwise make an individual ineligi ble for legal status –– for such expansive reasons as family unity, humanitarian purposes or what the Secretary believes is in the public interest. At least two of these standards appear undefined by S. 744 or current law, providing political appointees wi th broad authority to establish their own definitions of these terms and pardon criminal acts under almost any circumstance.

The bill provides that individuals who have overstayed visas are eligible for RPI and citizenship. As we have learned from the 9/11 Commission, more vigorous policing of visa violators is an essential component of national security. S. 744 provides legal status to an estimated 4.5 million visa overstays, including recent arrivals and document forgers. S. 744 lacks effective secur ity measures for screening existing and future visa violators.

The bill states that individuals who have previously been deported or otherwise removed from the country are ineligible to apply for legal status. However, the Secretary is given the “sole and unreviewable discretion” to waive that ineligibility for large classes of qualifying aliens.

Section 2101 of S. 744 prohibits detention and removal of any person claiming eligibility for legalization under S. 744 without requirement to provide proof of e ligibility or application.

While business groups, activists, and other special interests were closely involved in the drafting of S. 744, law enforcement personnel were excluded from those meetings. Immigration officers and state and local law enforcement working directly within the nation’s broken immigration system were prohibited from providing input. As a result, the legislation before us may have many satisfactory components for powerful lobbying groups and other special interests, but on the subjects of public safety, border security, and interior enforcement, this legislation fails. It is a dramatic step in the wrong direction.

The degree to which this legislation tolerates both past and future criminal activities ensures legalization and a path to citizenship for many criminal aliens and gang members currently residing in the United States. Additionally, S.744 fails to provide for necessary cooperation between agencies and ignores many of the current problems that are inimical to the proper enforcement of the nation’s immigration laws.

For example, ICE officers are currently directed by DHS to allow adult inmates in jails to lie about their “DREAMer” status in order to avoid immigration arrest. As a result, inmates are permitted to simply w alk out of jails without being required to provide proof of eligibility for “DREAMer” status and without any investigation by ICE. ICE officers report overhearing inmates coaching one another on how to lie to ICE officers about having “DREAMer” status to avoid arrest, yet ICE officers are still powerless to arrest them. These revelations should alarm every member of Congress, and indeed, every American. If this legislation were enacted tomorrow, ICE officers would continue to be powerless to effectively enforce our nation’s laws and provide for public safety as S. 744 does nothing to end these dangerous agency and department level directives. DHS will most certainly continue to issue these types of directives which will continue to deteriorate the ability of ICE to provide for public safety and national security.

We therefore conclude that this legislation fails to meet the needs of the law enforcement community and would, in fact, be a significant barrier to the creation of a safe and lawful system of i mmigration.

We thank you for hearing our concerns and would be eager to answer any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Federal Judge Says Obama Administration Likely Violating Law by not Deporting Illegal Aliens

Federal Judge Says Obama Administration Likely Violating Law by not Deporting Illegal Aliens

Wednesday, April 24, 2013, 4:56 PM EDT – posted on NumbersUSA

A Texas federal judge has ruled that the Obama Administration is most likely violating the law by ordering Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to release illegal aliens that the administration has deemed as low-priority. Judge Reed O’Conner wrote in a court order on Tuesday that Congress sets the priorities for arresting illegal aliens not the Administration.

“The court finds that DHS does not have discretion to refuse to initiate removal proceedings,” Judge O’Connor wrote.

According to a story in The Washington Times:

For the last several years the administration has said it will no longer arrest most illegal immigrants, arguing it wants to focus only on those with serious criminal records or gang ties. The Homeland Security department said it was using “prosecutorial discretion.”

Immigration agents and officers sued, saying federal law requires them to make the arrests, but the Obama administration would discipline them if they complied with the law.

Federal Judge Reed O’Connor said in a court order Tuesday that Congress, not the president, sets priority for arresting illegal immigrants, and said the law requires them to be put in deportation proceedings.

“The court finds that DHS does not have discretion to refuse to initiate removal proceedings,” Judge O’Connor wrote.

He said if Homeland Security officials want to set priorities for who they deport, they can do that later — but they cannot control who agents arrest.

The order is not a final ruling. Judge O’Connor said he still needs more information from both the administration and the immigration agents about whether the agents had another avenue to protest the policy rather than to go to court.

He asked both sides to submit more information by May 6.

Still, Tuesday’s order makes clear that the judge rejects the central part of Mr. Obama’s claim that he can use discretion to decide not to arrest some illegal immigrants.

The case was brought by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Council, the labor union that represents ICE agents and officers.

On Tuesday, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano defended her policy, saying it “installed real priorities for the first time.”

Ms. Napolitano says Congress gives her agency enough funding to deport about 400,000 people a year — a small fraction of the estimated 11 million in the country. Given that, she said it makes sense for her agents to focus on the most serious offenders, rather than rank-and-file illegal immigrants holding jobs or attending school.

For more information, see The Washington Times.

MSNBC Media Blame Roy Beck Numbersusa for Stopping Criminal Amnesty for 28 milllion plus illegals

NEWS FLASH:

MSNBC has caught on that NumbersUSA is the main roadblock to getting their treasured amnesty for 28 million illegal aliens. Guess who they attacked on their TV network all day long today? Roy Beck and NumbersUSA.

They compared our influence to that of the National Rifle Association. And they said that we are well funded and highly dangerous to their amnesty cause. Unfortunately, the truth is we only receive 2% to 3% as much funding as the amnesty side. And their paid lobbyists on Capital Hill outnumber ours by 170 to 1. (This is not a misprint.)

Our need is extreme. The situation is desperate. If you want to stop a massive amnesty, send a donation right now.

Illegal immigrants march on D.C. as Amnesty bill delayed

NumbersUSA must counter aliens’ political push: We have the members, we have the message, but will we have the funds?

APRIL 11, 2013 UPDATE: Amnesty supporters doubtlessly were dismayed by yesterday’s rally turnout. Three years ago, when we defeated the last amnesty push, they had at least 60,000 at the rally; this time, fewer than ten thousand showed up.

Meanwhile, our members made thousands of calls yesterday alone, and, just in the past few weeks, sent more than one and a half million faxes. Big Business, Big Labor, Big Media and Big Government have lined up behind our opponents, but we have your support — the American People..

Select Always Allow Images from NumbersUSA to see graphic of four reasons for hope

WE HAVE RECEIVED $2,176 FROM OREGON, SO FAR. BUT OUR GOAL IS $4,050. CAN YOU HELP US RAISE $1,874 MORE?
Please donate today

SPECIAL NOTE: The response to our action alerts has been overwhelming. If you had difficulty reaching our web site yesterday, please try again, today.

The following letter was sent yesterday:,

Illegal immigrants and their supporters have been marching on Washington, D.C. today to demand an amnesty. But, our members have been countering by letting Congress know how their voting constituents feel about rewarding lawbreakers by granting them citizenship.

Our membership has been pounding Congress, demanding that their lawmakers reject amnesty. In the past month alone, you’ve sent 1.3 million faxes. That may just be part of the reason why leading proponents of amnesty in Washington have been unable to agree on a bill they think they can get past their constituents.

In many ways, we’re in very good shape for this fight: Since the last time there was such a grave threat of Congress passing a comprehensive amnesty, our membership has grown by nearly one million members. In fact, we gained 20,000 members just last week.

But there is some frightening news, as well. While our members are more determined than ever to defeat an amnesty, many still haven’t bounced back from the Great Recession. They face high unemployment, early retirements, poor investment returns and, for many of small business owners, weak sales.

If you do not have the money to give to NumbersUSA, we understand completely. But if you have a reasonably secure income, we urgently appeal to you to help us continue to offer our services free of charge for everyone.

During our last fundraiser, we raised $2,176 from Oregon for this current push to counter the illegal aliens’ march on Washington. Frankly, we needed to raise more. On top of that, we also need to meet our regular monthly budget. Our opponents get hundreds of millions from foundations; we have to rely on our faxing and phone calls coordinating office visits, and for those expenses, we need the contributions of our members.

We must raise $1,874 from Oregon this week! Every dollar will help the fight against amnesty!

SPECIAL NOTE: The response to our action alerts has been overwhelming. If you had difficulty reaching our web site yesterday, please try again, today.

Please donate today or click https://www.numbersusa.com/donate

Today, our opponents are claiming to have bused tens of thousands of pro-amnesty protestors to Washington, D.C., to march on the Capitol. They aredemanding an immediate amnestyfor (in many cases) themselves and other illegal immigrants now residing in America, being given our jobs and drawing our benefits

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to give another donation to NumbersUSA, this is that time. Tens of thousands of angry, in-many-cases illegal demonstrators are coming here to Washington to DEMAND amnesty and benefits. Will we let them pressure Congress into folding on this issue? We say “NO.”

Here’s how we’ve been fighting this amnesty threat:

1. We’ve delivered 1.3 million faxes in the past month.
Our members have faxed their Members of Congress, and signed our new petitions to Congress, their governors, and the President to Stop Amnesty. We’ve demanded that our elected officials get busy on increasing enforcement. If you haven’t sent a fax, lately, click here… but be sure to finish reading this article! If you’ve sent a fax, keep a watch out for further updates.

2. We’ve sent 10 million e-mails.
To prepare our 1.5 million members for such a level of activism, we have written and delivered 10 million e-mails in the past two weeks. These emails include Roy’s Amnesty Updates, sent every couple days during this crisis, so our membership keeps up to date with what urgent actions we need.

3. Today, we start flooding Congress with phone calls.
NumbersUSA’s defeat of the big push for amnesty in 2007 became legend on Capital Hill. For days, we overwhelmed Congress’ switchboard. As the debate went on, we convinced enough senators to vote against amnesty that the bill’s motion to proceed couldn’t even get a simple majority, let alone the super-majority that it needed. This time, the bill hasn’t even been introduced, but our members are already making thousands of phone calls.

SPECIAL NOTE: The response to our action alerts has been overwhelming. If you have trouble reaching our donation page, please try again, or come back soon!

4. We’re webcasting from the Mall.

Oregon Mexican Drivers: Presumed Illegal SILVINO RODRIGUEZ VALDEZ Causes Car Crash Sends Americans to Hospital

what they don’t tell you is his immigration status because Oregon is a sanctuary state where they don’t check. You know he is Mexican because he drives an old beat up car that isn’t fit for the freeway.

Injury Traffic Crash – Interstate 5 near Highway 217 (Photos)

Oregon State Police – 04/11/13

Two people from Reedsport were taken to a Portland-area hospital Thursday morning following a two-vehicle traffic crash in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Highway 217. The crash blocked the northbound lanes for about 45 minutes with traffic utilizing the right shoulder to move through the area until the involved vehicles were removed.

On April 11, 2013 at approximately 6:05 a.m., a 1994 Nissan pickup driven by SILVINO RODRIGUEZ VALDEZ, age 31, from Salem, was northbound in the left lane on Interstate 5 near milepost 292 when the pickup had an unknown mechanical problem. RODRIGUEZ VALDEZ tried moving across the northbound lanes to the right toward the exit, but as the pickup lost power it coasted to a stop in one of the traffic lanes and was struck from behind by a 2008 Chevrolet Impala four-door driven by OLAF M. BRYANT, age 73, from Reedsport.

OLAF BRYANT and his wife/passenger PHYLLIS BRYANT, age 79, were transported by Metro West ambulance to Oregon Health & Science University with minor injuries.

ROGRIGUEZ VALDEZ was not injured.

All involved occupants were using safety restraints and not citations were issued.

Oregon State Police was assisted at the scene by Tigard Police Department, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, and ODOT.
