3rd Ruby Tuesday robber arrested
McMinnville Police Dept.– 04/10/12

During our earlier arrests in the Ruby Tuesday robbery, McMinnville detectives obtained a name for the third suspect from the two we arrested. Their information was less than complete and our detectives checked multiple sources over several days in order to identify and confirm that the third robber was Jesus Sacarias Bautista of Portland. Based on that information, McMinnville Police Department issued a temporary felony warrant for his arrest.

Jesus Sacarias Bautista (AKA: Jesus Zacarias Bautista) DOB: 09/13/1992 a resident of 2021 SE 170th Ave, Portland, Oregon was arrested on 04/09/12 at approx 1630 hrs as he arrived home. He was taken into custody without incident by the US Marshal’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit and Portland Police Bureau for the warrant.

Jesus Sacarias Bautista was lodged in YCCF pending arraignment in Circuit Court for the following charges:

Robbery in the first degree SRA: $150,000.00
Assault in the second degree SRA: $150,000.00
Burglary in the second degree SRA: $ 7,500.00
Attempted Kidnapping in the first degree SRA: $ 10,000.00
Unlawful Use of a Weapon SRA: $ 7,500.00
Menacing SRA: $ 7,500.00
Attempted Theft in the first degree SRA: $ 5,000.00
Theft in the second degree SRA: $ 5,000.00
Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle SRA: $ 7,500.00

Earlier Press Release summary:
On April 1st, 2012 at approximately 2325 hours, Ruby Tuesday restaurant at 1101 NE Hwy 99W, McMinnville was reportedly robbed by two Hispanic males in their early 20s that were armed with handguns. The closing employee stated that she was assaulted by the suspects and received minor injuries. The robbers reportedly left with an undisclosed amount of cash in the employee’s vehicle after the robbery. The vehicle was later recovered at a different location.

After the press release on April 2nd, we received information from citizen sources that there were three people involved in the robbery and that two of them were Saul Jorge Ayala DOB 11-25-1987 of 230 NW Maple Street, Willamina and his brother, Jose Primitibo Ayala DOB 08/24/1991 of 23900 SW Loganberry Lane, Sheridan. We also received information that Saul was an employee of Ruby Tuesday, but had not been working the night of the robbery.

McMinnville Police detectives obtained search warrants for the addresses on Loganberry Lane in Sheridan and Maple Street in Willamina. Those search warrants were served early this morning with the initial entry being completed by Oregon State Police Swat Team. The search turned up items related to the robbery of Ruby Tuesday. During the search warrants Saul and Jose Ayala were arrested for their involvement in the robbery.
