Update: The victim in last nights stabbing is 16-year-old Louie Aguilar. The suspect arrested is 16-year-old Salvador Ramirez. Salvador was charged with a Measure 11 Assault and booked at JDH.
On November 25, 2011 at 6:21 p.m. Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to a call of a stabbing at Southeast 72nd and Flavel Street. Arriving officers located a juvenile male stabbed in the back. When officers arrived the victim was at a convenience store at 72nd and Flavel and indicated that the stabbing took place at another location.
Information developed by officers on the scene suggests that this is a gang related stabbing.
The victim is suffering from what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries and has been transported to an area hospital.
East Precinct officers and the Gang Violence Reduction Team are on scene looking for a suspect at this time.
As this is an ongoing investigation no additional details are currently available
