OSP Traffic stop near Ashland leads to multiple arrests, drug seizures.

On September 14th, 2011, an Oregon State Police trooper assigned to the Central Point office stopped a Lincoln Navigator for a traffic violation (speed) on I-5, near MP 10 northbound. The male juvenile driver and an adult female passenger from San Diego, CA, both consented to the search of their vehicle which resulted in the seizure of two pounds of methamphetamine. The female, Tracy Desantigo, age 22, was arrested and the male juvenile was lodged in the Jackson County Juvenile facility. Further investigation revealed the methamphetamine was destined for Grants Pass, OR. A subsequent search warrant was written by a Rogue Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) detective and served at 7673 Williams Hwy. in Murphy.
Seized from the residence and the follow-up investigation was 1.94 pounds of methamphetamine, 48 ecstasy tablets, scales, packaging, US Currency, a firearm, and other items of evidentiary value. Assisting with the investigation were the Oregon State Police Patrol, Major Crimes, and Drug Enforcement Divisions, Rogue Area Drug Enforcement, Immigration Customs Enforcement and the Grants Pass Police Department Major Crime Division.
